Atakora Mountain

The Atakora Mountains in northwest Benin rise between 300 and 600 meters and stretch into Togo and Ghana. This mountainous region features lush forests, waterfalls, and traditional earthen villages. Natitingou, the main town, is a gateway to cultural sites like the Tata Somba houses and nearby Pendjari National Park. The area is known for its diverse ethnic groups and rich traditions, all set in a scenic, sub-humid savannah climate.
