Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast before being chauffeured to Antigua, a UNESCO World Heritage site, just 1.5 hours away. Check into your charming colonial boutique hotel and venture to San Miguel Escobar to meet local coffee farmers. Wander through picturesque coffee plantations, learning about sustainable farming methods and indulging in coffee tasting sessions at the farmer's home. Return to Antigua for cocktails on a panoramic terrace, relishing the city's charm and captivating views of surrounding volcanoes.
Embark on an adventure to Pacaya Volcano National Park, one of Guatemala's active volcanoes. Your guide will share its history and recent activity, and its influence on local agriculture. A private boat will ferry you to the Panajachel docks, followed by a private transfer back to Antigua (approximately 2.5 hours). Embark on a thrilling 3-day, 2-night guided Mayan Trek through the jungle, covering 60 kilometers. Experience the blend of nature, culture, archaeology, and adrenaline as you traverse ancient Maya trails. Encounter diverse wildlife, including birds, monkeys, deer, and possibly jaguars and tapirs. Witness thousands of bats set off from a cave at sunset in search of prey. Call it a day with a scenic outdoor dinner at base camp amidst the wild jungle beauty.

Begin with a hearty camp breakfast before heading deep into the lush jungle to explore the remarkable El Zotz archaeological site, including the awe-inspiring "Devil's Hill" and the tomb of P.A. In the afternoon you will head back to Mundo Maya Airport, where you'll catch your flight back to Guatemala City (1 hr approx.). At night we have prepared a very special farewell dinner for you where you will enjoy the fusion of cacao as the main ingredient in Guatemala's elevated cuisine.

In this trip, we'll spend the weekend with Adakt to experience alternative arts and electronic music scene that he pioneers in Lake Atitlan.
As the Chef-Patron of Diacá, the country's leading restaurant, Debora Fadul has set the standards for Guatemala's gastronomy. In 2022, she earned a nomination from the World's 50 Best as the Next 50 Best Chefs. During our trip, we'll visit Diacá, as Chef Debora will welcome us to savour her food and share her innovative concept.
Chocolatería Sero, maker of the famous El Buen Cacao concept in Guatemala, combines their social and environmental responsibility with high quality ingredients to create fine chocolates. On this trip, we will be able to sample various Guatemalan Fine Chocolates from distinct ecoregions all over the country, as well as tour cacao farms owned by their farmers, organized communities.
Since its victory in the United Nations’ largest-ever competition for sustainable tourism, Etnica has become a leader in impact tourism organization throughout Guatemala and the Yucatan Peninsula since 2016. Hyperlocal and Etnica’s CEO, Pablo Martinez, have been closely collaborating to launch this trip. Pablo himself will lead the start of the trip, ensuring a local and sustainable way.
