We sat down with Jul Javii right before his music video shoot in Berlin for his upcoming single Never, to curate some of his favourite spots in the region he calls home, the Western Coasts of Ghana- home of momentous forts, picturesque beach towns, and laidback resorts.
There's no better way to start than grooving into Jul Javii's hometown-inspired music.
In this guide, he shares with us some his favourite places to stay, the beaches where he gets creative, and all the touristy essentials in his hometown. He describes Cape Coast as perfect place to relax and find peace.
Peninsula in Western Region of Ghana
“It's a bit far from Busua, but definitely worth checking and visiting. It's like a lighthouse in a village. What's nice is that you won't see a lot of people there, it's extremely empty, you'll only see the people who lives there which gives you this local vibe. It has great scenery, and also there is this spot with great rocks where you can stand on and watch the sunset.”

“I discovered this place since my uni days, and ever since I always feel comfortable and at peace whenever I am here. So please put this as my number one spot in Ghana. I just love Busua, it's very peaceful, not too much people unlike other cities.”
Historical Landmark in Western Region of Ghana
“I would recommend every tourist place in Ghana! It's I mean, this is a place for everybody to understand more about the diaspora, to just see how it started and what went down in Ghana. So I would really recommend Cape Coast Castle.”
