About
Etosha covers over 22,000 km² and features the vast Etosha Pan, which dominates nearly a quarter of the park. The landscape includes grasslands, woodlands, and numerous waterholes, attracting large congregations of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Popular camps like Okaukuejo and Halali provide access to key waterholes for game viewing.
Wildlife
The park hosts lions, elephants, black and white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and many antelope species like springbok and oryx. Etosha is also renowned for its birdlife with over 340 species, including ostriches, secretary birds, and vultures. Waterholes are prime locations to see animals in action, especially elephants bathing and rhinos interacting socially.
