Established in 1963, Moremi covers about 4,871 km² including islands, floodplains, and woodlands in the Okavango Delta. It supports exceptional biodiversity and dynamic wetland ecosystems. Wildlife
Moremi sustains elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, hippos, and herbivores like zebras and sable antelope. With over 500 bird species including Pel’s fishing owl and Carmine bee-eater, it is a paradise for birdwatchers.
